Basic Information
A coeducational school located in Lausanne, Brillantmont International School was established in 1882 and is one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland. The school has been family owned since then and prides itself on its warm family environment. The Schoolâs campus is spread across 8 different buildings dating back to the 1990s. In more recent years, a multipurpose hall, gym, music studio and stage have been introduced.
Academics and Boarding
The School Programs taught at Brillantmont are recognized internationally and provide great access to top ranking Universities worldwide. Each grade program is designed to meet the needs of the respective age of the student.
Students in all year groups are educated in all areas with Grade 8-9 pupils undertaking cover STEAM Courses in Robotics and Coding to enhance their ingenuity and academic learning.
For older pupils, they have the option to study towards British iGCSE and A-Level or the American High School Diploma, SAT and PSAT examinations in preparation for college admissions.
Boarding accommodation at Brillantmont is bright and comfortable, with students living in one of five boarding houses. Students are housed according to age and gender. Living with others of different nationalities is an enriching experience, which develops tolerance and sensitivity to people from other cultures
Extracurricular Activities
Students at Brillantmont benefit from a rich cultural life which is enhanced by an active sports program. The School is also located close to the mountains for activities such as skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports.
