About Collège Champittet
College Champittet was founded over 115 years old and is a Swiss local school with strong international outlook. An education based on values and tradition for academic excellence are being taught. A Day school for students aged from 3 to 18 years old and Boarding school for those aged from 11 to 18 years is also available. The School program is being taught in English and French with additional lessons to introduction to German. A partnership with the Juillard School of New-York allows students to participate in extracurricular activities in sports, entrepreneurship and music. This School is also part of Nord Anglia Education which helps students network with world leading educators and professional education experts thus ensuring a high level of education for the students.
With over 900 students and 40 nationalities represented, the School offers programs in French and English with lessons to learn other languages such as German, Italian, Latin or Spanish. The student to teacher is 9:1 with average classes of 16 students.
Location and Campus:
With a stunning location, students have the opportunity to participate in exciting outdoor and cultural activities during the weekends and evenings. The School regularly venture out onto the Lake, into the Alps on bikes, skis and by foot, and into local neighborhoods in Switzerland and abroad.
The School offers a private day school and a private boarding school.
The teachers are not only academically excellent and highly qualified, but they also have an enthusiasm for education and an ability to inspire youth. Typically the teaching staff have an excellent teaching experience, a postgraduate qualification (often a Master’s degree) and subject expertise. Staff are particularly aware of diversity and cultural difference.
The private boarding school offers a home for up to 80 girls and boys. The smaller size boarding school allows them to develop a strong family-feel amongst with other boarders and ensure that their network of resident staff and tutors get to know and care for each and every student individually.
