About Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz
Founded in 1904, The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is a Swiss international boarding school located in the beautiful alpine landscape near the city of St. Moritz. Based on tradition with innovativeness, the school attaches a great deal of importance to tolerance, mutual respect, fair play, commitment and life-long learning.
The campus covers 130’000m2 and encompasses 12 buildings, sports fields, ice rinks, tennis courts, golf driving range etc.
The school’s academic programs covers the Swiss Matura which allows students to enter, in 4 or 6 years, Swiss Universities without having to take an entrance examination. On top of that, students can to sit for the German Abitur and the International Baccalaureate. The IBDP program is an English-medium university preparation course based on an approach to learning involving critical inquiries and is aiming at the education of the whole person.
At the boarding houses, students receive an individual guidance and support system during the course of their studies. The teachers and house parents encourages all students to extend their intellectual and physical limits.
The dormitories are separated between boys and girls and according to their age. Mutual respect, tolerance and fairness are expected from each students.
They have the opportunity to live in a family-like environment, while the older ones have more privileges, and also greater responsibilities.
There is a varied program of outdoors activities including school band, theatre groups and debating society. Activities also includes river rafting, horse riding, sleigh rides and outings to the theatre and musicals
